Christmas Cards and Gifts

There was much excitement today as the children’s Christmas cards arrived.  If you didn’t get yours they will be sent home with your child tomorrow.  The Parent Council are aware of errors in printing and would ask parents to contact them so they can work with the company to organise a refund.  They apologise for any inconvenience and upset this has caused.  The school would like to thank those who have supported this fundraising venture and hope everyone has a lovely festive break.

Chocolate Friday – November 27th

Friday 27th November will be ‘Chocolate Friday’.  Children can come dressed down but instead of £1, it would be much appreciated if they could bring a chocolate donation for the Tombola stall which we will hold in school on Friday 4th December.

If your child wishes to participate in the Chocolate Tombola on Friday 4th December, they should bring their money in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with their name and how many tickets they wish to purchase.

Further news of our Christmas class enterprise items will follow in the near future.

Thanks for your support with our Christmas fundraising.

Fundraising Christmas Cards

UPDATE: We are aware of some parents having issues when trying to order their products. Please email the company directly on info@chameleoncreate.co.uk who will be happy to resolve these for you. Thank you for supporting the school with this fundraising venture.
The shop is now open – for 5 days – for you to order your Christmas cards, gift wrap and gifts! This is a great fundraising opportunity for our school so we very much appreciate your support!
You will need the flyer that came home with your child yesterday! Don’t forget, the shop is only open for 5 days!!
It is hoped that we will have the cards/gifts to be delivered to you via your child at school on 7th or 8th December, which should allow you enough time to get your cards written.
THANK YOU for your support!

Harvest Collection for the West Lothian Foodbank

Hi everyone,

Thanks to all our families who have donatated so far.  Just a reminder that there are only a few days left to make a donation to our Harvest collection for the West Lothian Foodbank.

The request from the Foodbank is slightly different this year and they are asking us for only seven items with each of the classes bring in particular products:-

Primary 1 – Cup a Soup

Primary 2 – Instant Potatoes

Primary 3 – Sponge Puddings

Primary 4 – Oatcakes/Crackers

Primary 5 – Custard

Primary 6 – Hot Chocolate

Primary 7 – Tinned Potatoes

If you are able to make a donation please send the items in with your child and they can take these along to the school office where they will be boxed and kept in quarantine.  The final day for items to be donated is Friday 30th October as they will be collected on 4th November.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Information for Parents

Good morning,

We would ask parents to read the following information as it includes some important information regarding changes in the law and offers resources to support children in this challenging time.

From 7 November 2020, all physical punishment of a child will be illegal, meaning children in Scotland will have the same protections against assault as adults.

Parent Club understands that being a parent or carer is the best job in the world but there will be days when it all feels a bit too much for parents and that it can be difficult to keep calm when kids are acting up.

To help families manage the challenges, especially during Covid, Parent Club have launched a Positive Parenting campaign which provides tips on coping with being a parent and keeping calm with their children so they can build a rewarding relationship together. Visit, parentclub.scot/topics/coronavirus/coping-with-parenting to find out more.

Please find attached campaign toolkit which outlines the campaign’s key messages and links to useful resources for parents.

💜💓💛💙❤️ ELC

Good Morning ELC we hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend ?
This morning on my walk I found these keys I am not sure who they belong to or what door they might fit ! Maybe you can help me find the owner of the keys ? Do you have any ideas ?
Maybe you could draw a picture or find a story that would give us clues to finding the door they fit ?

Please share you ideas pictures and stories on your learning journals  and we can see who to return the keys to !
Have Fun 💜💙❤️💓💛
