Primary 2 Update

Welcome back everyone! We hope you had a great October break.

We have had a busy first week back in Primary 2.

In Numeracy this week we continued to work on estimating numbers on a numberline and in Maths we learned how to draw a line of symmetry on pictures of everyday objects.

In Writing, we are continuing our focus on persuasive pieces and the children prepared fabulous posters to advertise the Halloween Disco. They used persuasive language very well to convey their message!

The children who made it along to the Halloween Disco looked fantastic and as you can see had a great time!

Also this week we have started our new topic – People who Help Us. We discussed the children’s interests and questions to help plan our learning. They showed great interest in the role of a Police Officer so this will be our focus this week.

Please remember After School Clubs begin this coming week (w/b 28.10) for children who have signed up for and had a letter confirming a place at a club.

Thank you for your continuing support,

Mrs Oliver, Miss Rafferty and Miss Pringle
