Primary 1 Update 9.5.19

Hello All,

We hope you had a lovely long weekend. Although it has been a short week in school, we have all been very busy!

In Language, we have been continuing to work on blending digraphs together e.g. sh, ch, th etc to make words and have worked hard to improve our handwriting.

In RME, we have been learning about ways in which different religions celebrate the birth of a new baby. We have studied Christianity and Islam so far.

In French, we have been practising saying the colours by singing our rainbow song and playing some fun games.

Also this week we have begun learning about road safety, discussing the 4 main stages Stop, Look, Listen, Think and also explaining the importance of crossing with an adult at all times.

P1S have been working hard for their assembly on Tuesday (14th May) and P1OP have begun to learn their words and songs for their assembly on Tuesday 28th May. Please continue to practise at home. P1C will begin work on theirs soon.  We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our assemblies.

Thank you for your continuing support,
