Are you ready to travel through time?
Prepare yourselves, as P6/7 and P7 will be sharing a whistle stop tour from 1950 to 2009 all in the space of an hour!
Parents of P6/7 and P7 are invited to join us on Thursday 18th December in the P6/7 and P7 classrooms. Between 1.45 and 2.15pm we will be sharing some of our learning from our decades topic. From 2.15pm until 2.45pm, we will be demonstrating some of the famous dance crazes from each of the decades and also, performing some adverts for iconic products from our chosen decades. Maybe we can tempt you to join in with our dances?!
There was great excitement in our class today, because we were allowed out side at playtime to play in the snow. We had great fun, but Mrs Corbett had a washing line of wet tights and socks to dry when we came in.

All across the school, staff and pupils are preparing for the celebration of Christmas. Thanks to Mrs. Connell and the Kitchen ‘Elves’ we all enjoyed a beautiful Christmas lunch yesterday. All children behaved as they would in a restaurant and thanked the ladies for their hard work.
Nursery morning and afternoon groups have been rehearsing well for a lively Nativity which they will perform for parents and families on December 18th. P.1,2,3 impressed their parents and families with a confident performance of ‘Born in a Barn’ on Tuesday afternoon. P.1 assure me that today’s performance will be even better!!
P.3/4 and P.4 will launch their newly recorded CD at their Enterprise Showcase for parents tomorrow at 11.15. At this event parents will be treated to a live performance of the carols, followed by an opportunity to buy Christmas products made by the children. The event will start in the Great Hall and refreshments and stalls will be set up in the small hall after the performance. Please come and support your child.
Second level pupils impressed me so much during their rehearsal for the Carol Service that I had to stay and listen to their wonderful singing. The carols have been specially chosen this year to be uplifting so we can promise that you will leave our Carol Service full of Christmas Spirit! The ticket price of £1 includes refreshments in the small hall afterwards. Please make time to join us on this special occasion for the whole school.
We have had fun playing out in the snow today. Ayla liked building snowmen. Kieran enjoyed making ice men with his friends. Josh made lots of hand and foot prints in the snow. Samantha and Sarah did some ice skating while Izaak and Alexander busily worked to make an ice gate! Daniel enjoyed making a snow angel and Matthew even practised writing his letters and numbers in the snow! We are all back in our warm classroom now and are ready for our milk and a Christmas story.
P1, P2 and P3 have been working very hard on our Nativity – Born in a Barn. We are very proud of them and their super singing, well done boys and girls!
