This week our new double sound is oa. We thought of lots of words with the oa sound and shared the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We made our stick puppets to help us retell the story and built bridges out of Lego for the goats to cross.

We Are All Special
Primary 1 have been talking about how each of us are special, we all have special qualities that make us unique.
We shared the story of Elmer, he has a bright patchwork coat but he is special to his friends because he is kind, thoughtful, helpful and funny.
We are all special!
Saying Goodbye to Mrs Wilson
At the end of last term Primary 1 were very sad to say goodbye to Mrs Wilson. We worked together to make pages for her special Farewell From Kingsland Books, our pages were thanking Mrs Wilson for helping us in the dinner hall.
On the last day of term we enjoyed watching Mrs Wilsonβs special goodbye assembly. We had great fun having a special scavenger hunt in the playground, we hunted for eggs with pictures on them. The letters at the start of each picture made a word βKingslandβ. We also made lovely Easter cards and enjoyed a delicious ice-cream cone.
