Transition Information- Nursery to P1

Dear Parent/Carer,

We know that this is an unsettling time for everyone at the minute and we know that parents/carers will have many questions they may have regarding the area of transition.  It is our hope to outline below the current information that we have to alleviate any worries and to hopefully answer any questions that are important to you.

Nursery to P1 Transition Plans for Langloan Primary School

As you will be aware, NLC provided parents and carers with a schools update.  Outlined in this information were the hopes that transition activities could be provided for those pupils who were entering P1, whether that would be virtually or in the school building.  As a school we have already started the virtual transition process with online presentations and a virtual tour of our school, as well as suggested activities to work on with your children before they start school.

We have also decided that our new P1 pupils will be invited into the school building accompanied by one adult during the week beginning 15th June. In order to adhere to social distancing guidelines and for the health & safety of all involved, this will be organised in small groups and will be allocated in time slots.  It will be a short visit consisting of a tour inside parts of our building, an introduction to some staff members and supplying you with a copy of our school handbook.

We will contact you either by telephone or email to make arrangements for this visit.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation with this matter,

Mrs Paterson, Principal Teacher
