School Improvements

2023-2024

In Langloan we strive to continually improve our performance and the curriculum we deliver.

As a staff, this year we will be working hard to take forward each of the following school improvement priorities:

To improve attainment in writing from 72% to 75% in primary four, by June 2024, through targeted interventions and strengthening approaches to teaching and learning.

T revisit teaching for effective learning principals through collegiate planning and pedagogy input to prepare ‘A good lesson in Langloan includes.’ This will support a more consistent approach to AifL methodologies and maintain a clear focus on attainment through increased challenge and differentiation.

To audit pupil voice activities, identify the gaps with the view to ensuring key groups such as, Pupil Council, Learner Conversations (all classes) and a RRS/ SHANNARI committee are embedded as part of whole school work.

Nursery Priorities

To improve outcomes for 19% of our young learners by providing targeted supports, including Colourful Semantics and Language Land, by June 2024.
