P7 Malteaser Maths Challenge

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Miss Bryce, a maths teacher from Coatbridge High School,  came to visit our class this morning to carry out the Malteaser Challenge. Pupils had to work in co-operative learning groups to find out how many malteasers it would take to fill our entire classroom from floor to ceiling. The groups had to carry out measurement activities and even got to eat a few malt easels along the way!

P4/5 Ancient Egyptian Headdress

We have been learning about Ancient Egyptian artefacts.  One of the artefacts we looked at was Queen Nefertiti’s Crown.  We were amazed by the height of the hats and decided to recreate our own.  Here are some of our designs!

Spiritaid

We are very fortunate to have had some lovely gifts donated to our school by Mr Strefford who works for an organisation called ‘Spiritaid’.  We have drawn names from a hat and the children pictured below were our winners. As a school and nursery class we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
