We’ve had lots of lovely discussions this week after previously being asked the Big Question, ‘What makes us happy?’ We’ve gathered our ideas and have hopefully come up with lots of fun learning activities we can do between now and the Winter break. Stay tuned to find out more!

To kick start our ‘Big Question’ learning, we’ve been starting to create some new artwork. After learning about colour theory, and identifying warm/cool and complimentary/opposite colours, we coloured tin foil with washable felt tip pens, sprayed it with water and then placed paper on top of the watery ink. The ink printed a cool watercolour-type finish onto the paper and this will become the background to our ‘What Makes Us Happy’ art. We hope to have these finished when we return after the October break 😊

Hello Everyone!

We’re going to talk about our amazing week.

Noah has been learning to play guitar and very kindly came in with his guitar and played the songs he had been learning.  We were very impressed,  well done Noah!

In P.E. this week, we have been focusing on volleyball. We practised two types of pass, an overhead throw and catch and lob. We started off by using the walls as a target and then we moved on to passing to a partner.

In French we have been practising the days of the week and months of the year through active activities.

We began consolidating and extending our knowledge when telling the time. Help us practise at home by asking us to tell the time from different clocks.

With Mrs Webber, we have been learning about different religious symbols in RME.

Have a lovely week off!

In P.E., we are doing: volleyball. We are learning how to play fairly during games like Olly Olly Octopus.

In writing we have been learning about narrative texts and been creating our own stories. We wrote about a man in a light house called, ‘The Lighthouse’ then we made our very own stories with 5 paragraphs.

In Numeracy we have been adding/subtracting 10/100/1000, and rounding.

In assembly we learned about road safety.
