Room 6 Autumn Artwork.

This week in room 6, we went outside on an exciting autumn leaf hunt around the playground! The ground was covered in bright, crunchy leaves, and we filled our baskets with yellow, red, orange, and brown ones of all different shapes and sizes.

First, we made leaf rubbings. We placed our bumpy leaves underneath white paper and rubbed wax crayons firmly over the top. It felt like magic seeing the hidden shapes and outlines appear right before our eyes!

Then, we used our colourful leaf templates to make pictures. We carefully cut the leaves with our scissors and stuck them onto dark black paper. Putting them on black paper made the bright autumn colours stand out, and it really helped us see all the tiny veins running through the leaves like little branches!

We had so much fun being creative with nature. We hope you like our picture below.
