🦺 Be Bright Day 24th November 🦺

November 24, 2023 by Miss Napier | 0 comments

Well… Our Be Bright Day as been an incredible success! It’s been amazing to see so many of our pupils in super bright and reflective clothing to raise awareness of staying safe and seen in the darker months. The JRSOs and WOW ambassadors have been very impressed with the effort that everyone has gone to. Thank you parents and carers with your help in this too!

The JRSOs have been visiting all pupils at their assemblies this week to talk about road safety and staying safe and seen too. They’ve put in a huge amount of effort, along with the WOW ambassadors, to organise the event.

Each class has now had their brightest winners announced and the brightest staff have been selected as well. I think you’ll agree they look dazzling 🤩 These winners received their goody bags and certificates today and came together for a big photo.

Every pupil in the school also received a reflective pack/keyring to take home, courtesy of our fabulous parent council. A huge thank you to you for helping to make our Be Bright day an even bigger success.

Autumn Activities

November 3, 2023 by Miss Kennedy | 0 comments

We have had another busy week in Room 14. We started this week by celebrating Halloween. We had some snacks and a drink in class and had fun during the Primary 4 parade before dancing to a few spooky songs in the gym hall. Your costumes were great.

We used our Halloween emotion pumpkins and the orange cog to think about the different feelings characters had in my favourite book, The Lorax. We were also inspired to write our own stories after a visit from our reading ambassadors, Jackson and Poppy.

In Maths, the Cylinders group enjoyed lessons with Miss Anderson about Shape. The Cubes have been working on their ability to add in columns.

Today we went around the school grounds collecting leaves, stones and twigs. We looked at some pieces of Art by Andy Goldsworthy, a British artist, and then had a go at creating our own Land Art. The finished pieces were excellent.

We finished today by having a PE session outside on the pitches.  We are working on our racquet skills during badminton and tennis sessions.

I hope you all have a great weekend. See you on Monday.
