🦺 Be Bright Day 26th November 🔦

November 30, 2021 by Miss Napier | 0 comments

On Friday 26th November, our Junior Road Safety Officers held a fabulous ‘Be Bright’ Day in the school and nursery. Our pupils learned about staying safe by the roads in winter by dressing brightly so that they can be seen. We encouraged all pupils to dress in bright/reflective clothing and accessories to raise awareness of this and each class, across the nursery and school, completed different activities too. The brightest dressed pupil from each class was awarded with one of our ‘Brightest Dressed’ goody bags and a certificate, while our nursery pupils each received a Ziggy reflective sticker for their efforts. Our staff got on board too, with some winning prizes too!

Take a look through our photos to see a selection of our brightest pupils and their hard work. Well done everyone! 😁

🦺 Be Bright Day – Friday 26th November 🔦

Dear Parents/Carers,

On Friday 26th November, we are holding a ‘Be Bright’ day to raise awareness for staying ‘safe and seen’ now that the nights (and afternoons!) are getting darker. The children should wear the brightest clothes that they have and this can include reflective items. The clothes don’t even need to match! The wackier & brighter the better as we are holding a competition for the best and brightest dressed pupil from each class. The winners will win ‘Be Bright’ goodies and a certificate.

We can’t wait to see you all ‘wearing it bright!’

Wonderful Webs in Room 17

This week in art, we have been using watercolour paint and oil pastels to create some wonderful spider webs. It was fun to do but also tricky, trying to see what lines you had covered with white oil pastel.
