🦺 Be Bright Day 2024 🦺

November 29, 2024 by Miss Napier | 0 comments

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our pupils for dressing so brightly today to promote staying safe and seen in the darker months. The Scottish weather was on our side, for once, giving us a dull day to really show the importance of wearing bright or reflective clothing so that others can see you.

Well done to our Be Bright Winners from each class and to the brightest dressed members of staff too. It was incredibly tough selecting the winners this year! Thank you to the parent council for our pupils’ gifts and thank you to our JRSOs for putting so much time and effort into organising our Be Bright Day 🤩

Hello everyone,

We have had another busy week in Room 4.

In literacy this week we have been learning the ‘aw’ phoneme. We have enjoyed working in pairs with our magnetic boards to say, make, break, blend, read and write the words. We also learnt 4 new common words – very, fast, took and there.

In Maths we have been revising measurement and introduced calculating the area of different shapes.

We were also very lucky to have a visit from the Young STEM leaders, who brought Indi along to allow us to explore the basics of coding. We had lots of fun and can’t wait to use Indi again.

Some of Room 4’s favourite parts of this week:

JB – I liked learning about square centimetres.

EF – I liked learning The Grand Old Duke of York in PE.

EMcK – I liked writing dictated sentences.

CG – I liked learning how to measure the area of a shape.

RB – I liked painting autumn leaves.

MMP – I liked when the STEM leaders visited us with INDI

JN – I liked learning the ‘aw’ sound.

YS – I liked writing sentences about autumn.

HW – I liked playing with Indi.

MM – I liked learning the ‘aw’ sound.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
