Maths in Room 4

This week we have been learning all about numbers that are the same as each other.

As part of our “dinosaur maths” we have been learning about how to measure “dinosaur eggs” with balance scales – and work out how many cubes they weigh. We even estimated how heavy they would be and could compare our estimate to how heavy they really were.

We have also been learning all about doubles and what happens when you add the same number to each other. We even spotted that the pattern was the same in counting in 2s! We have been learning songs to help us practise our doubles and counting in twos – ask me if I can sing them at home!

A wee reminder that class photos will be on Wednesday next week. Have a lovely long weekend everyone – I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.
