“We made frogs out of green paper cups and we threaded an elastic band through a hole in the top. Then we got our fingers a little bit wet and, when we rubbed our fingers together over the elastic band, it made a frog’s croaking sound! It was the vibrations of our wet fingers rubbing the elastic band that made the sound. Ribbit!” – Hollie & Beth

“For gym, we did badminton again with the nets up! It was a bit harder trying to hit the shuttlecock over the net and then your partner trying to hit it back but it was really, really fun!” – Ollie, Austin & Isla

“Yesterday when we were playing, Austin made a paper crown for Miss Napier and she pretended she was the Queen! Some sneaky royal subjects (Blake) were trying to steal the crown and run away with it!  Miss Napier called for her guards to arrest him but he’d hidden it. He wouldn’t give it back until the whole class was tidy and everyone was ready with their bags and jackets on. Thankfully, we did everything Blake said and the crown was given back. We love playing and being creative!” – Caleb

Now we’ve finished all our Monet art work, it’s up on our cloakroom wall. We think it looks great!

We also took part in a live sustainability lesson about riding our bike to stay active. It was led by Simon Mole who read his book, ‘I Love My Bike.’ He helped us to create our own poems about riding a bike and got us to think about different words for ‘really,’ ‘fast’ and ‘good,’ including using alliteration! We created a class poem too for the blog:

My bike is extraordinarily awesome,

My bike is super speedy,

My bike is purple with stars on the spokes,

It can go 362mph!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I’m firing my way to the fridge for a feast,

I LOVE MY BIKE!
