Dear Parent/Carer,
We know that many of our pupils enjoy playing popular online games like Roblox and Minecraft. However, as with all online platforms, it’s important that children use them safely and responsibly.
To help support families, we’ve shared below parental guidance with the latest information on how to keep your child safe while gaming online — including privacy settings, chat restrictions, and ways to manage screen time.
We encourage all parents and carers to take a few minutes to read through the guidance and talk with their children about safe gaming habits. Working together, we can help ensure that online play remains fun, positive, and secure for everyone.
To Parents/Carers,
We’re delighted to share more information about our LGA Hub — a safe, supportive, and engaging space where pupils can spend time at lunch.
The hub provides opportunities for pupils to relax, connect, and grow in a positive environment, supported by staff who encourage kindness, respect, and teamwork. We expect all pupils attending to follow our school values, show good behaviour, and take part responsibly so everyone can enjoy their time at the hub.
Please see attached information here, including expectations to use the Hub – LGA Hub Information
To help us manage numbers and ensure everyone gets the best experience, each year group has their own designated day to attend:
S1 – Monday
S2 – Tuesday
S3 – Wednesday
S4 – Thursday
S5/6 – Friday
We look forward to welcoming pupils along to the LGA Hub — a great place to learn, socialise, and shine!
At Lochend, we know that being in school every day makes a huge difference — not only in learning, but in building friendships, confidence, and success. To celebrate our pupils’ fantastic efforts, we’ll be giving attendance rewards to recognise those who show great commitment to coming to school regularly.
These days will be filled with fun activities and special treats to say a big thank you to everyone who’s made the effort to attend consistently.
See attached information about the rewards taking place in Autumn for great attendance.
