The Moonbeams class had a construction challenge this week. We set a visual timer on the Promethean board and the pupils had to try and construct a model before the time ran out. They loved doing this and could tell us or show us what they had made when the time ran out.
The boys in the Sungazers have been confident individuals, getting their items ready to sell at the Christmas Market tomorrow.
We all worked together, made choices and helped each other.
We hope you enjoy our tasty treats – limited numbers, only while stocks last!
Today in the Transition class we were effective contributors when making delicious pizzas, we also added our favourite toppings. Bella Bella!
The week has been a busy week in the Sunflower class. We have started learning the songs for our nativity. We went a walk around the local area and visited the new Remembrance garden and the Cenotaph to see the poppy wreaths that we laid last week.
We have been busy making our tree for the wall display in the atrium. We were drawing round our hands of different green material and the attached them to the tree shape and added glitter to make it sparkle.
We read a story about how to build a snowman and then cut out the pictures and stuck them down to sequence the story using the pictures.
The Bluebell pupils have been working hard to create fantastic Elf Door decorations for Willowbank’s Christmas Market. The pupils were all effective contributors as they worked hard to paint all of the parts of the doors, stick the parts together and decorate them. They also made posters for their stall and to send home to their parents. The Bluebell boys were very proud of the finished product .

The Moonbeams class have been working very hard this week contributing to the planning and preparation for tomorrow’s Christmas Fayre. We created a Christmas tree display for the wall and also made unicorn party cups to sell.
We all watched staff demonstrations and helped contribute towards these enterprise products.
The Eco group recycled an item that would usually be thrown in the bin. The pencil shavings from sharpened pencils were gathered and then used to create a picture of a tree and a butterfly.
It was a very relaxing and fun activity to create something beautiful from rubbish that would have been thrown away. The boys were effective contributors using items to recycle and creating something new.
There will be a lot more exciting recycling projects happening over the next few weeks, with a Christmas theme.
The Bluebell pupils love to learn in the Sensory Room. They demonstrated that they were successful learners by pressing on the Magic Carpet to select an app. They had great fun pretending they were swimming with sharks, dancing on the squares and being spray painted.
It’s really beginning to look like Christmas! The Christmas Market is nearly here and the whole school has contributed to decorating our atrium with Christmas trees. The Snowdrops sponge painted paper bowls and sprinkled lots of green glitter inside them. Everyone was very confident, painting their hands and stamping print patterns with yellow paint. We used gold glitter to make our hand prints sparkle and used them to create a star for the top of our tree. Come and see our tree on Saturday!
