Confident Individuals – Christmas Craft Gifts

There was punching and boxing going on in the Transition class this week. It wasn’t a sudden outbreak of violence though, don’t worry! The class were Confident Individuals when they were using a die cutter to punch out box shapes and then fold them into a gift to take home. A lot of personal choice went into the colour and patterns used to make the finished product. No sneak previews though, you’ll have to wait until Christmas!

Effective Contributors – Christmas Craft

Whilst some of the class were out on community travel, those left behind continued the Christmas display work. They were Effective Contributors when they all worked together making snowy backgrounds, white wooden snowman heads and decorated Christmas trees. They were using fake snow which even got hoovered up to ensure the class was alltidy and presentable.

Christmas crafts

The Sunflowers have been very busy making Christmas crafts. We made our own Christmas cards using strips of coloured paper.

At cookery we made trees using cones and used icing to make melted snowman biscuits.

Christmas Craft

The Transition boys were Effective Contributors when they finished their Christmas Craft items. They all focussed very well when they use the sewing machine and made sure they were safe. They filled their items with rice and made the instructions. If you want to find out what they made you can buy them at the Willowbank Christmas Fair. See you there!

Busy week

The week has been a busy week in the Sunflower class. We have started learning the songs for our nativity. We went a walk around the local area and visited the new Remembrance garden and the Cenotaph to see the poppy wreaths that we laid last week.

We have been busy making our tree for the wall display in the atrium. We were drawing round our hands of different green material and the attached them to the tree shape and added glitter to make it sparkle.

We read a story about how to build a snowman and then cut out the pictures and stuck them down to sequence the story using the pictures.
