Fireworks

Yesterday was Bonfire Night and we enjoyed looking at videos of fireworks at morning group. We then had lots of fun creating different firework artwork. We used food colouring in droppers and added these to some salt pictures. The salt soaked up the colour creating a beautiful firework picture.

IDL Science

As part of our “A Bug’s Life” theme we have been exploring the garden and noticing the different plants.  We all were confident individuals during our outdoor learning time and were all able to actively participate in planting seeds. We had fun using a trowel to put soil into our pots and then adding the seeds. We  then left them in our outdoor area. Some of the pupils have been watering them and we have been watching them grow over the last couple of week.

IDL – Numeracy

During numeracy this week we have lots of fun exploring little jumping frogs. We had to focus and develop fine motor skills to push down using our finger to make the frog jump forward. We then used bricks to measure how many bricks the frog could jump over. There were lots of smiles at the frog jumper across the table. All pupils were supported to push down on the frog to make it jump. Some were able to do this independently. Some pupils were able to count the bricks that the frog hand jumped over. We were all successful learners joining in and taking turns.
