We had a lovely festive time making Christmas baubles for our family members.
We followed spoken/signed or written instructions and filled one of our baubles with chocolates and one with a photo of each of us wearing a Santa hat.
We also discussed who we might give our fabulous Christmas gifts to.
We were very proud of the lovely gifts we made! I hope our families like them!
We had lots of fun in the Bluebells class today.
We got our picture taken in the atrium in front of the the lovely snow scene. We had great fun with out new speaker in soft play and did lots of Christmas jumper crafts. We created our own Christmas jumper used stampers and stickers and also created our own giant Christmas jumper in our tuff tray. We are looking forward to more Christmas crafts next week.
We had fun this week making our Christmas Enterprise craft, we made hot chocolate Christmas baubles and a cane cane gingerbread person to go along with our hot drink with a marshmallow surprise hidden in the bauble.
We were all confident individuals following the verbal instructions to make our enterprise items.
We were successful learners writing our letters to Santa and then we enjoyed a walk in the sunshine to post them.

The Snowdrops enjoyed creating a ‘Do You Want To Build A Snowman?’ Christmas gift to send home today.
Pupils were able to select marshmallows, tic tacs, matchmaker sticks and chocolate drops to put into the gift bag. We also were able to count out the correct amounts for each bag and develop our fine motor skills in the process too.
We all had great fun making these gifts and hope our families enjoy receiving them too.
Our work this week for our SQA signs in the community has been looking and identifying if places are ‘safe’ or ‘unsafe’ to cross the road. We were successful learners and used our gestures to share opinions on places to cross the road.
We all agreed the pelican crossing was a safe place to cross, we waited on the red person turning to green and listened for the beep to tell us it is safe to cross.
We have been in the festive spirit in the Oak for a few weeks now. Everyone has been confident individuals during our class performance rehearsals.
We have been taking part in a variety of different Christmas arts and crafts.
Everyone is looking very proud of their art work, and rightly so, successful learners all round.
There was a Christmas feel to the Transition class SQA numeracy lesson this week. We took time to sort out out baubles by colour which was a task that related to their SQA Numeracy topic. They were all Successful Learners creating lines of each colour and then totaling them. We discovered that the most common colour was Gold with 12 baubles, followed by 11 Red baubles. There were a few baubles that were on their own. Well done everyone!
For Saint Andrew’s Day we were successful learners and created some lovely art.
Thistles using different colours of wool.
We have enjoyed our Autumn Stories, especially ‘There was an Old Lady who swallowed some leaves’, so we made some cool artwork using coffee filters, felt pens and the water spray.
