I would like to draw your attention to the recently updated communication Board. Here you will find the Top  Tip for November, the nursery Rhyme we are currently working on with the Makaton sign to accompany it and some general communication information.

If you have any questions with regards to this please speak to Mrs Cotton who is the communication champion or your child’s key worker.

As the next couple of months are very busy for everyone we thought you may like to save the following dates in your diary.

The ECC Nativity show will be held on Friday 14th December

A.M. show will be at 10am

P.M. show will be  at 2.15pm.

I’m sure this is a day you will not want to miss.

The ECC Christmas parties will be held on Thursday 20th  December these will take place during the usual session times and we hope to get a visit from Santa during this time .

At Gargieston ECC, we love to hear about all the little achievements the children have made.  We have therefore set up a new ‘celebrating success’ wall in the playroom to display these achievements. If your child has something they would like to share with us please speak to their key worker.  The children can bring in medals or certificates they have been awarded and we will photograph your child with these  or you can bring in a picture of your child achieving something to be added to the wall.

Everyone had a great time at the Hallowe’en Discos last night.  Here are some pictures of our fabulous costumes.

Mrs. McKee and Mrs. McLaughland would like to say a big thank you to the GFG and all the parents who gave up their evening to set up the hall, supervise the discos, run the tuck shop and tidy up at the end. The discos were a great success and everyone had a ball!!  Thanks also to the teachers who came along to help. Your contribution to the life of the school is very much appreciated.

The Gardening Club will be starting on Thursday the 8th of November 2018.

The Club will run for 4 weeks, with the last meeting being on the 29th November 2018.

Any child from Primary 4-7 can attend.

Children should collect a form from Mrs Bloomfield in Base 1 if they would like to take part.

P1-3-  6.30-7.30pm

Drink and snack included.

Developing Our Vision and Values – Part 1

You should all have received an email on Friday explaining our plans regarding reviewing our vision and values.

The first ‘big’ question as part of this process is:

 What are the three most important things you want your children to have learned in their years at Gargieston PS and ECC?

Please take some time this week to consider this question and jot down your ideas in the comments box.  Remember there are no right or wrong answers.  We will collate this information on Friday 2^nd November.
