Trim Trail Update

Our Trim Trail has now been installed and it looks absolutely fabulous 🙂

HOWEVER…..

We are awaiting an independent inspection to approve and sign off the structure as being safe for our children.

The children must not use the Trim Trail until this safety inspection has taken place.

This will all be explained to the children at assembly on Monday.  However, we would appreciate it if you could also explain this to your child so that they do not try to access the Trim Trail when they arrive at school on Monday morning.  The structure will be coned off as a visual reminder for everyone.

We hope that you have all enjoyed the holiday and look forward to welcoming all our children back to school at 9am on Monday 15th April for our final busy term of the school year 🙂

Our Trim Trail Has Started!!

So excited to see work starting on our Trim Trail today! This is going to be a fabulous addition to our playground and I can’t wait for the children to return after the holidays and start having fun on it.

Many thanks to you all for supporting this ambitious  project and to Mrs Work and our fantastic GFG for making it a reality for our children 🙂

Leavers Hoodies

Just a quick reminder that the order for Leavers Hoodies must be in by Friday 5th April. This is to allow Rainbow Ink enough time to process the order for Arran residential.

Hoodies can not be tried on in Rainbow Ink.

Please see earlier blog post to order and to give permission for your child’s name to appear on the back.

Any questions regarding the sizing please click on the title above and I will do my best to answer. Many thanks, Mrs Lawson

P6A Class Assembly

Today, we’ve did our class assembly.  It was very entertaining and we were lucky to have Lorna Sloan from the John Muir Trust to watch our assembly.  We all had an amazing time.  Lorna gave us certificates at the end.

HE DID IT!

Well done Joe Dow. Maths Millionaire! Some very challenging questions on the way. It took a few attempts but he got there in the end.

Football Success!

Well done to the school football team today. They beat Troon Primary 5-2 in The Ayrshire Cup and now go through to the quarter finals. Thanks very much to Mr Hay and Mr Darnbrough for organising the boys in Mr Smith’s absence.

Loose parts

The pupil council have been looking at our playground. They would like more things to do at break and lunch so have decided to add some loose parts to our playground. This will be for primary 1-3 to start with while we build resources. If you have any spare parts at home or have any links with building companies etc. please let me know. Here is a small list of possible things you could donate:

  • Pine cones
  • Wood (all sizes)
  • Pipes
  • Crates
  • Pegs
  • Shells
  • Stones
  • Tyres
