We were absolutely delighted to be invited by East Ayrshire Council to Fly the Flag for the Commonwealth yesterday. Oliver, Charlie, Lucy, Adam, Evie and Bobby look part in the parade with invited guests and Lucy and Adam read the Commonwealth Affirmation before raising the flag with Councillor Douglas Reid.
Following the event, the children were invited to a reception within Council Headquarters and enjoyed a visit to Council Chambers with Mrs McAulay-Griffiths, Head of Education.
Unfortunately time was against us during our upper assembly and the Superstar certificates could not be handed out. They will be given out at our next assembly.

We will be having an Easter bonnet competition in the ECC. We are encouraging children to be creative at home with their families and bring their masterpiece into the ECC on Thursday 2nd April. The Gargie Guides will be selecting a winner from both our AM and PM session. There will be a special prize for the winner. All children who bring in a bonnet on Thursday 2nd April will take part in an Easter bonnet parade around the school.

Our next Wider Achievement Assembly will be on Monday 2nd March.
Any pupils with medals or certificates for the assembly should bring them into school with their Wider Achievement slip tomorrow or on Monday morning.
