Cars at our school
Our Eco group have been discussing the safety of our children and the pollution caused by excessive traffic building up around our school. We have discovered that if 4 or 5 parents from each class walked instead of drove, then collectively across the school there would be 75/80 fewer cars at our school in the morning. What a difference that would make!!!
Please walk if you can.
Thank you from the Eco Committee

P4 Outdoor Day
We were inspired to enjoy the outdoors through our class novel ‘The Wilderness War’ by Julia Green. We had an amazing day at Caprington Woods building dens, making weapons, playing games, finding leaves, getting very muddy and having a ball!
” My best bit was being able to stomp in the mud” said Lewis.
“It was the best trip ever!” said Louie.
“I like how we worked as a team to build our den” said Archie.
“I loved making a bow and arrow” said Carrie.

31 years service!!
Mrs Carey retired from Gargieston in June after 31 years as our School Crossing Patroller.
Since 1986 Mrs Carey has helped children safely cross Dundonald Road and Mount Avenue.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks during our whole school Harvest Assembly on Friday 13th October.
We intend to give families the opportunity to contribute to a collection for her presentation which can be done through ParentPay.
We would appreciate if you could complete contributions by Wednesday 11th October.
Many thanks.
