Primary 7 had a fantastic time at their party this afternoon. A big thank you to everyone who made it possible.
A great way to end a super week.
Matthew, Luke, Nathan and Callum took part in the Rotary Quiz tonight. The boys tried really hard and were a credit to our school. 😀
Next week, 16th May, is walk to school week. During the week children can walk to school wearing various ‘fun’ items each day – please continue to wear school uniform. This is to encourage everyone to walk to school and leave their cars at home.
Each morning JRSO pupils will go round classes and record who has managed to walk to school or even Park and Stride. Children who manage all 5 days or 4/5 will be given a certificate. Pupils who come to school by bus will have the opportunity to participate in this event in school.
Monday – Madness Monday wear weird, unusual accessories.
Tuesday – Triple Tuesday wear 3 bright things – socks, hat, badge etc.
Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday odd socks and shoes.
Thursday – Topsy Turvey Thursday inside out clothes.
Friday – Funky Hair Friday, let’s see some interesting hairstyles.
Have fun.
Thank you to everyone who walked or wheeled to school. Our current position is 132nd out of 666 with 75.58% of our school taking part. The final position will be announced on Tuesday.
Well done.
The JRSOs
Next week (Monday 21st March) is the start of The Big Walk and Wheel national competition, this is for the whole school including the ECC. The JRSOs have written the following post, please click below to read it.
Please note that this is different from Walk To School Week, which will be held in May.
Thank you.
JRSO
We believe that road safety is a very important thing in our community. The safety of your child is our number one priority! We have been a bit worried recently about children coming to school when it’s darker. When they wear a dark jacket cars cannot see them and this is very dangerous. Here is a picture which very clearly shows this danger. So we encourage that you give your child a brighter jacket, a torch, a reflector for their bag or jacket. Be Seen, Be Safe!
On Monday we are going to launch a competition where the children will have the chance to design a colourful high vis vest if they wish, the closing date will be Friday 28th January. The winner from each class will win a JRSO goodie bag!
Happy designing!
