Football tickets

We have had an amazing offer from Kilmarnock Football Club!

They are offering every child a free child’s ticket PLUS a free adult’s ticket for the home game against Hearts next Saturday, 23rd November (3 pm kick off).

That means that, potentially, Gargieston could have over 800 people in the family stand that day! Let’s support our local club and take advantage of this amazing offer.

If you would like to receive tickets for the game, please complete the drop down below or for further details please call Mrs Lawson.

P5/6 STEM After-school Family Learning Club UPDATE!

See the source image

We are aware that by the time pupils reach the P5/6 stage a lot of them have younger siblings.  As a result we have not had a huge response to our clubs.  Please feel free to bring along younger siblings to these clubs to join in the learning.  Pupils still require adults to attend with them each week.

The P5/6 Electricity STEM after-school club will begin on Wednesday 20th November and will run for four weeks from 3.30pm until 4.30pm.  Participation in the club will require children attending the club to be accompanied by an adult.  This is to enhance family engagement in the STEM subjects.   If you would like to attend please use the form below to sign up.  The cut off date is Friday 15th November.  The club is limited to 20 places, if more than 20 children sign up names will be drawn from a hat.

ECC Nativity tickets

ECC nativity tickets can now be collected from Mrs Hendrie in the ECC for our performance of “It’s a baby!”

Performances will be held on Wednesday 11th December.  Doors will open 15 minutes before the performance starts.

Morning performance starts at 10am

Afternoon performance starts at 2.15pm

All ante pre school children should wear a Christmas jumper on this day.

ECC Reminder visit from reindeer

The ECC children have been voting for what they would like as their special Christmas treat this year. Following this vote, we have arranged a visit from 2 reindeer on Tuesday 3rd December. The children will be able to interact, feed, pet the reindeer and Santa will also be making an appearance.

Can I remind all parents that we are looking for £2 per child to go towards the cost of this please. Money should be paid to Mrs Hendrie in the ECC.

Thank you

These students will be working alongside practitioners to support your children’s development and learning the role of a practitioner in early learning and childcare. In order for them to complete their course effectively students have to carry out observations on children which they use to write reflective accounts. No children’s names will ever be used on these observations. They are also required to create a floorbook with the children which consists of evidence of activities in which they have carried out. They are encouraged to include photographs in this floorbook. Photographs of children will only be used and accessed by students and their college lecturer.
