We have been talking about what we enjoyed doing over the summer holidays and places we visited.

We would really like if the children could bring in ONE photo of them on their holiday/place they visited. We would be grateful if you could write their name as well place/country on the back of the photo as we will be looking at different countries on a map. We will be using these photos for the children’s scrapbooks.

Thank you

Top of the School

Here are our P7s for the 2019-20 session. They have many responsibilities including looking out for the younger pupils as Gargie Guides and Prefects and setting a good example through the Gargieston Values – Kindness, Respect and Happiness.

Please remember to label all clothing

Please ensure that all items of clothing are labelled before sending them into school.

There have been a few items of lost property already that we are still looking to locate.  Some items with names on them.

Please can all parents double check clothing to ensure that you have your own child’s items .

Please hand any items that have been accidentally taken home into the school office.

We are also looking for a special hair band that may have been taken home by mistake. Its made up in the school blue tartan fabric.

Many thanks.

The ECC will be starting their visits to the library in the school on Wednesday 4th September.

Could all children please bring in a library bag with their name clearly labelled to ensure that our books do not get wasted in the rain. A homework sheet will also be sent home with your children’s library book which we would appreciate if the children could complete. (This is not compulsory)

Thank you.

P6-7 Road Race

The first of our sporting events has come into the school already! This is a Primary Schools Road Relay for Primary 6 and 7:

Saturday 21st September, 2019

in

Grangemouth

As this takes place at a weekend, it would be the responsibility of parents to take / bring home the children to this event, however registration must be done through the school.

If any child feels this is of interest to them, please contact Mrs Lawson / Mr Smith for further information. Please note this may be  of particular interest to children used to athletics training as each child would be expected to run one mile. If enough children come forward we can enter teams of three.

Many thanks.

Morning bell 🔔

Before the holidays, we noticed that it was taking some time for children to make their way to the lines when the bell rings at 9am especially if they are enjoying playing on the grass or the trim trail.

We have therefore decided to introduce a bell at 8.55am to alert the children that it is time to gather their belongings and make their way to their lines where staff will bring them in promptly at 9am to start their day.

The doors at Base 1 will continue to be opened at 8.50am for Primary 1’s to have a soft start to their day.
