Well done to everyone who achieved Superstar status!

Our STEM week produced lots of Superstars in Base 1.  We hope their enthusiasm for learning continues this week 🙂

It is approaching the time of year where we start planning our annual summer talent show.  This year we have decided to have a Disney theme, meaning that all acts should have a Disney element e.g. be performed to a Disney song, performers should be dressed as a Disney character or the performance should tell a short Disney story.

Auditions will be held the week beginning 18th March during lunchtimes.  If your child wishes to take part individually or as part of a group they should fill in an audition slip and return it to Miss Caldow by Thursday 14th March.  Audition slips will be given to class teachers this week for children to fill in.

To avoid duplication, song choices will be on a first come first served basis.    Miss Caldow will be taking a Sign Language Club on Monday’s at lunchtime to learn some songs using British Sign Language.  This club will be learning ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and also ‘The Circle of Life’ from The Lion King.  Could other performers please avoid choosing these songs.

The show is pencilled in for Wednesday 15th May, however more details will follow nearer the time.  Right now we are just looking for audition slips to be handed in.

Get together with your friends and have fun coming up with a Disney-themed act!

Our next session will take place on Tuesday 5th March 2019, if you would like to attend please add your name to the list on the communication board.

Morning session will be 9am – 9.30am

Afternoon session will be 1pm-1.30pm

We will provide tea /coffee after the session for anyone who wishes to stay.

We have entered the final week of collecting blue coins in Tesco!

Our GFG have also organised a fantastic Musical Bingo evening tonight (Friday 22nd February) in the school.  Tickets are £5 and can be purchased via ParentPay or at the door.

The Primary 7 children enjoyed a chance to meet all their future classmates this week, with the Getting To Know You Day at Grange. Perhaps some life-long friendships were started on Tuesday!

Mrs McKee will be starting her  running club again for children of P5.

Every Wednesday, starting Wednesday 27th February.

Parents of P5 children are welcome to join in !

Remember to bring uniform to change into !

Class starts at 8.30 am !

The bike check scheduled for Friday 22nd Feb has been cancelled until further notice.

A reminder that this Friday – 22nd of February – is musical bingo night.  (adults only)  Dabbers should be ready at 7.30pm and it is BYO snacks and refreshments.  Tickets are £5.00, these can be bought through parent pay.  There will be a raffle, which may top up your refreshments!!  Any raffle donations can be handed into the office.
