** Wider Achievement Assembly **
Pupils should bring in any medals or certificates for the assembly tomorrow (Friday 1st March 2019).
The Gargieston Fundraising Group will meet on Sunday night – 3rd March – in the Park Hotel at 7.30pm.
The Parent Council will meet in the school meeting room on Tuesday 5th March at 7pm.
Everyone is welcome at these meetings.
Well done to the P4-7 children who received Superstar certificates on 4th February.

What a great turnout for our first P5 running club of 2019! 21 children, 2 staff and 3 Mums getting 3k done before 9am.
We discussed setting ourselves the target of a 5k event this term and the children were very keen. More information to follow…….
We will be celebrating world book day in the ECC on Thursday 7th March. Children are encouraged to come in dressed up as their favourite character from a book on this day.
We would love to explore the children’s favourite books in the ECC please bring children’s favourite books in during the week of 4th March and these will be returned to you.
We have received information regarding the Primary Schools Cross Country Championships event:
Kirkcaldy High School, Fife
Saturday 27th April from 12 noon
This race is run over approximately 1500m and the organisers advise that only children with experience of running this distance should enter. Entry is through the school, so anyone who would like more information or to register for particpation, please contact Mrs Lawson by Friday 8th March.
Please note that parents would be responsible for taking children to and from this event. Many thanks.
Scottish Maritime Museum , Irvine.
Primary 1 C and P 1 D will visit on Monday 4 March .
Primary 1 A and P 1 B will visit on Tuesday 5 March.
Entry – £4.
Cost of transport will be covered by the museum.

Staff from Ayrshire Roads Alliance will be attending the school on Thursday 28th February at 9.30am to check the bikes of pupils before commencement of the iCycle programme.
Pupils involved should bring their bike to school on this day.
