Post from the GFG !

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

In 2017/18 the GFG donated a massive Β£5000 to Gargieston Primary and ECC. This paid for:

5 iPads. Table tennis equipment. A new sound system – microphone packsΒ . Sports t shirts for school/class events. Drawstring bags for school football strips. Graphics Road Safety Sign for the school car park. Wet weather boxes for every class. A donation towards every classes Christmas party. Christmas presents for the infant departmentΒ and ECC. Graduation ties for ECC and P7 leavers. A donation towards the P7 leavers party.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We had a number of events in order to raise money to add to our funds.

The events organised were : Christmas Cards, Designing and selling Tea Towels, Class photographs, Halloween Disco, Spring Disco, Family Beetle Drive, Ladies Night, Zumba/Football Fundraising Event, ECC Bunny Hop Fundraising Event and a Movie Night.

We would just like to thank everyone that helped towards raising this amazing amount of money for Gargieston Primary and ECC. This can only be done with your help through donating, volunteering and attending events.

Dyslexia Friendly Schools Maintenance Award

Today three of our upper school children – Hannah Paterson, Ali Rahman and Beth Patterson – attended an awards ceremony in Dumfries House to receive our certificate for managing to maintain our Gold Status. One year on, we are still one of only 5 schools in the authority to achieve this.

We are extremely proud of this award and thank all staff, parents and pupils for their hard work and support – it really is a team effort!
