Language Skills (Secondary)

Good morning everyone,

Another glorious day! Hope you get out in the sunshine today.

Final activities for Film Week!

This week we have been watching films (of your choice) and completing various activities (please see previous posts if you have missed them and want to catch up).

Today we are going to think about the conflict or problem in the film and the solution. Try one or more of the following activities:

Conflict and Solution:

  • Tell an adult about the conflict or problem in the film. What happens? How does this problem get sorted out?
  • Draw some pictures to show the problem and how it is fixed or sorted out (you could do a before and after picture).
  • Draw some pictures to show the problem and how it is fixed or sorted out – label your drawings.
  • Write a few sentences (or more if you can manage) about the conflict or problem in the film. What happens? Why does this happen? How does this problem get solved?
  • Write three short paragraphs about the conflict and solution in the film:
    1. What is the conflict or problem? Why does it occur?
    2. What is the solution to the problem?
    3. How do you feel about the solution? Would you prefer a different solution? Are you happy about the ending? Why or why not?

Good luck!
