Monthly Archives: April 2020

Today in music we will ‘choose and sing.’ This week’s song to prepare for Friday’s assembly with Tracey is Special kind of Heroes.
Join in and have fun singing along.

May you find peace. For the next song you will need some shakers. Ask whoever is in charge of your kitchen for salt or spice container. You could even put rice into a tupperware dish and remember to secure the lid! There are a few signs for you to learn as well.

Finally we’ll finish with some relaxing music and enjoy some reflection time.

Group 5 Circle Time Tuesday 28th April

Hello Everyone,

How are you today? Today, I feel like Mr Forgetful because I keep forgetting to do things and forgetting what I have in my kitchen cupboards to make for dinner!

Who do you feel like today? Remember to ask someone in your house too?

The weather today looks like it is going to be sunny and cloudy but it rained last night so for movement why don’t you go outside and see if the rain has woken up any snails. Let me know if you find any.

What are you going to do for life-skills today? Maybe you could make a sandwich. I wonder what you will put in it? I like banana and peanut butter!

Check out Sign of the day with Lorna and then for fiddly fingers why don’t you find an interesting way of writing your name. You could use pasta …

Continuing with the Earth Day theme, this might be a good time to catch up with some geography games.

You can find lots of educational puzzles, quizzes and matching games on this website:

http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Geography.htm

Alternatively, there are plenty of educational interactive activities to complete on this link:

http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/preschool/preschool.htm

You could try to choose activities based on the colours of the rainbow?

Or, simply spend some time on Google Maps looking up your favourite holiday places or landmarks.

Why not investigate some of the landmarks from the puzzle website mentioned above

– “World Landmarks Puzzles”    or search for places from some of your last school topics:

Groups 3, 4, 5 – you could try to look for Roman buildings such as the Colosseum or a roman aqueduct.

Group 6 – you could look again for the Stone Age village of Skara Brae in Scotland.

Group 7 – you could look for all the different continents and oceans.

Groups 9, 11 – you could look at some famous landmarks in Spain such as the La Sagrada Familia or the Great Mosque of Cordoba.

Finally, a song to finish:
