After weeks of dedication and planning Primary 7 Enterprise at the Christmas Fair on Friday was huge success. All the pupils worked their socks off at their stalls and made an outstanding profit of £335.09!
On Tuesday we delivered our assembly to the whole school. It went absolutely brilliantly, everyone enjoyed it and our mashup sounded fantastic. Our message to the school was to think less about what you want and more about want you would like to give or do for others.
On Wednesday two teachers from Deans Community High School came to visit us. They talked to us about the three types of science – chemistry, biology and physics. We took part in a chemistry experiment where we had to precisely put 10 drops of potassium iodide and 10 drops of lead nitrate together in a test tube. When mixed these two liquids turned yellow instantly. We then used filter paper in a funnel to separate the solids from the liquids which were created by mixing the two liquids together. We are really excited to take part in more science experiments in the future!
The company who make our Primary 7 leavers hoodies have a competition running this month. The first prize is money towards our order. The competition involves us redesigning Santa’s uniform. We have come up with some really great ideas and look forward to sending these away in the hopes of winning!
