Primary Six

Our show rehearsals are now in full swing and our budding thespians, narrators, singers and dancers are busily creating and learning their scripts, routines and musical ensembles. It’s shaping up to be a rock ‘n’ roll extravaganza! Letters have now been distributed regarding costumes. Please let us know is anyone needs help with anything.
Our last chapter of Kensuke’s Kingdom ended on a dramatic climax – homework for this week is to read chapter seven. By the level of anticipation and discussion taking place in class , Kensuke’s group certainly seem to be enjoying the novel. We are continuing to emphasise the importance of sharing and recommending our own reading experiences in order to boost the involvement in literacy of all our students. Run Zan Run produced some very animated debates this week regarding moral dilemmas and issues (very mature responses primary six) . Home work for this group is to read chapter seven and complete the summarising task .
We used pie charts and spreadsheets to analyse the actual capacity of the Titanic lifeboats compared to the how many passengers were in them and the results were rather shocking .
Primary Six enjoyed another session with NYCOS this week. We had to put our multi-tasking skills to the test when we combined rhythm, actions, equipment and singing .
