Snow Work in Event of School Closure

With the adverse weather conditions we are facing at present, there is a very real risk of a school closure.  In that eventuality, the following links will allow you to read/download appropriate work that can be done by your child. Teachers will also upload appropriate work to the BLOG.

N.B. This work is only for use in the event of a school closure.

  1. Fantastic snow work boys and girls! Hope you are having fun in the snow and staying warm and safe 🙂

  2. Hi Alex, You need to either print off the workbook or read the work on screen and write your answers on paper. I assume it’s the workbook you are asking about?

  3. Hi Alex

You don’t need to write on the dotted lines. It won’t work because the booklet has been saved in a different way. What I suggest is completing some of the activities the booklet suggests on paper you have at home. Then you can bring them into school and show your teacher/Mr Shanks when we are all back.

Hope this helps. Have a lovely day.

    Miss Clark

  4. The issue is almost 400 children sitting in wet clothes for a good part of the day. We cannot dry them all and don’t have clothes for them to change into. Also, not everyone is tolerant of their children being hit with what would have been very icy snowballs. How do you suggest we police it?

  5. Although winter weather is there a reason that children were kept in at break and lunch time today? The health benefits of being outdoors in the fresh air far outweìgh the benefits of being kept in. Snow also provides a fun experience for children. While there clothes may get a little damp this will not increase their likelihood of catching anything as colds and flu are caused by a virus and not by being wet and I’m sure playground staff can police the snowball throwing if this is what the issue is.
