It is great to see such support from you all and together we move forward and gain our Level 2 RRS award!

If you missed the session a leaflet explaining more about the rights can be found on our useful site page.

Thank you again!

Primary 7 s German adventures

On Wednesday 5th October, Primary 7 went to JYHS for their German Adventure.

We had to go around JYHS and find different cities in Germany.

We were put into teams with 3 or 4 people one or two from Dedridge and a pupil from JYHS.

It was really fun and we had to use our problem solving skills and got to learn some German vocabulary and a little bit about German cities and German culture.

Spooky Goings On in P1/2

As it was Halloween at the start of the week, we were very lucky to have Mrs Stewart come in for a visit to read ‘Potion Commotion’.  P1/2 were a super audience and enjoyed joining in with the rhymes in the story.

In maths this week we have practising our addition again and have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes and their properties.  We were very lucky when our parent helper, Miss Graham, took us on a shape hunt around the school.  We spotted lots of different 2D and 3D shapes.  During activity time, Chloe made a super rectangle using the peg board.

In literacy we learned the g, v and x sounds.  We enjoyed designing vests and glasses and made some friendly foxes at the craft table.  We are getting better at blending our sounds to help us read words and also at listening to words and building them on our velcro boards.
