P2 are shining stars!

Please note we wrote this on Friday!  Only posted today as Mrs.  Horne needed to add photos.

Today we brought in our Stars homework.  As usual we didn’t just do what we were asked we went above and beyond.  Instead of Ancient Egyptian Pyramids, we have several Giza’s!  We have built models, out of anything from clay to sugar cubes! Additionally, we have produced folders of work too.  Now Mrs Horne has a busy time ahead looking over all our projects!  She was so pleased with us she has decided we need to have another showcase for parents.  So on Friday 25th April, we have invited our parents to come and browse through our class work and our homework.

“I liked my stars homework because it was lots of learning and it was fun.” Alexander.

“I liked doing my project.” Brooke.

“I liked making my pyramid because it was a lot of fun.” Zoe.

“I liked learning about Sekhmet in my Ancient Egypt book and Kelvingrove.” Isabel.

“I liked my stars homework because I built Giza and I painted the pyramids that were in Giza.” Robbie.

“I liked putting the sugar cubes together and then putting the sand on.” Amy.

“I liked building my shaduf, it was really fun.” Erin.

“I liked helping my mum colour in my project.” Carlos.

“I liked to research about the pyramids on my tablet.” Louise.

“I liked painting my pyramids.” Ryan.

We also had time to do other things this week.  We spent a lot of time preparing for a special assembly for mummies and grannies.  We drew portraits of our mummy’s and we wrote funny stories about our special ladies. We made them cards too. The assembly went well and our mummies and grannies laughed and cried during it.  We love our mummies and grannies, and hope they have a great day on Sunday.

Happy Mother’s Day!
