Headteacher’s Update 17th May 2016

S1-3 Pupils

I spent most of today at Stirling High School with Campsie House pupils and enjoyed meeting each class. It was great to get feedback from our young people and staff on the process so far and to be able to reassure them about the planning that is taking place towards the next phase.

We are keen that all of our young people remain on campus during lunchtime at their assigned schools for the short period that we are there. Staff from each school are visible and available to support at these times so, with that in mind, it is therefore planned that pupils remain on site.

Senior Phase Pupils (S4-6)

Tomorrow is a busy SQA exam day. We have 114 pupils sitting chemistry over all three levels from National Five to Advanced Higher. The accommodation and invigilation team are well organised, so all that remains is for us to wish them luck!

The Higher PE exam is scheduled for the end of the SQA exam diet (3 June). There will be three revision days at Balfron High School – Thursday 19 May, Thursday 26 May and Tuesday 31 May. Pupils should sign in at the reception and will then be taken to the assigned area.

General Update

The investigation work has come to an end and a plan of work required is being prepared. I will be in a position to share some of the detail with you later this week.

Once again, I would like to thank you for your support and patience.
