There are two strands to citizenship activities within the school. One is where aspects of citizenship are embedded in the curriculum.  All young people and staff at Balfron High School are committed to the school’s values:  Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Fairness and Trust. The second one is where aspects of citizenship are to be found in the extra-curricular activity of the schools.

Some of the activities in which the young people of Balfron High School are involved are : Buddying of younger pupils , Charity Appeals, Community Links, Euroscola, Fair Trade, French Exchange, Malawi Partnership, Expeditions to Central America and Asia, Pupil Council,Pupil Voice.

In addition, each House Group supports a different charity and throughout the year fund raises and raises awareness of the charity’s cause with the whole school.

The charities supported bu House groups last session were: Mary’s meals, Shoebox Appeal, Robin House, Alzheimers,  Cancer Research, Save the Children and Sands Charity
