Welcome back to everyone who has a pupil(s) returning and hello to everyone who has a pupil(s) starting for the first time at Balfron High School next week.

However, the main purpose is to make you aware of two things:-
The Balfron High School Clothing Company and our 500 Club
The Balfron High School Clothing Company is where we sell good quality second-hand school uniform donated by yourselves to raise funds for school projects. During lock-down our stock has been securely stored in the school but we will finally have access to it this Friday (7th August).
To celebrate this, we are going to have a “pop up shop” in the reception area of the High School between 9am and 11.30am on Friday 7th August.
If you are needing some uniform, please come along and we will see if we can help. We would appreciate it if you could wear masks and also, we will aim to limit numbers in reception at anyone time to ensure we can socially distance.
We will also gratefully accept donations of uniforms that are no longer needed.
The 500 Club is our way of giving you the chance to support our fundraising without having to leave your front door! (Very helpful in these restricted times). We have 500 tickets to sell at £12 each. There tickets are entered into 5 prize draws in the year and the prize each time is £100.
Last year the tickets sold contributed to the £6,500 we were able to donate to the school to fund projects such as Cheer Class Pompoms, Science Club Awards, a Geography field trip, Advanced Higher maths textbooks, the Inter-house programme, Native-speakers programme, Visiting authors, A drum kit, The Sensory Garden project, PE leadership academy and all sorts of resources for our pupils with additional support needs.
This year we suspect that there will be an increase in requests from pupils and staff and the sooner we can sell all the tickets, the sooner we can fund the requests to benefit our pupils

We normally have 5 meetings in the school during the year, however this year we will be having them remotely via video. We will be in touch shortly to let you know the date of the first meeting and invite you to join the meeting.
