Our National 5 Chemistry course helps students learn about how different chemicals react and how Chemistry is used in the world around us. Students will explore topics like chemical reactions, atomic structure, and energy changes. There are lots of hands-on experiments, allowing students to develop problem-solving and practical skills. This course is a great foundation for future science studies and careers.

Assessment: Students are assessed through a combination of in-class tests throughout the year, a final exam (80% of overall grade), and a practical assignment (20% of overall grade). The in-class tests help track progress and understanding. The final exam covers the full course content, while the practical assignment is a research project completed in class and marked by the SQA.
