Can you recommend cool websites to help us find out about the Ancient Egyptians?

http://www.ancientegypt.co.uk/gods/explore/main.html

This website has the story of Isis and Osiris. It has lots of facts about the Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt.

Which websites do you recommend for finding out about Pharaohs, mummification and pyramids?

We have looked at http://www.historyforkids.net/

and http://www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk/Egypt.html

to find information. These sites have tabs that are just like the contents page in a non-fiction book and have sub-headings to help us find the information we need to answer our questions.

When we feel that we’re under attack!

Measuring Madness!

We have been exploring different ways of measuring weight, volume and length.  Primary 3 had a great time and were able to use their knowledge of kg, m, cm and l in order to complete all the George’s Marvellous Medicine themed challenges.

Spelling: No written homework this week

Learn to spell tricky words, called high frequency words. Use the strategies we use in class e.g. Look, Write, Cover, Check; make the words with (we use Bendaroos) magnetic letters, letters made of scrap paper, play – spelling tennis, mystery word, write the words in a pyramid, vowels or the spelling pattern in one colour …
