Our new sound today was “e”. Michael had eggs for breakfast and Mrs Collins helped him crack them in the pan. We listened to the story of Elmer the elephant and made our own colourful elephants by sponging brightly coloured paint.

Stick Insects
P 1 and P2/1 were very excited today because Mrs McGilp brought in her stick insects. One of the insects had just shed it’s skin. Mrs McGilp told us that the stick insects like to eat ivy and privet leaves. Some of the insects were so well camouflaged that they were difficult to see among the leaves.

Meeting Kipper
We have been sharing different stories in class about Kipper, his sister and brother, Biff and Chip. Kipper’s real name is Christopher but when he was little he couldn’t say Christopher, he said Kipper instead.
Biff is actually called Barbara and Chip is David. Biff and Chip are twins.
We will be reading lots of books, together and on our own about Biff, Chip and Kipper and their adventures.
