Today we were working hard in the garden, we weeded and dug through some compost. When the ground was ready we planted some speedy mix salad leaves.  

This week in art we were using black paint to create these detailed houses. We had to control our paintbrush to create lines and patterns and work together to share resources and tidy up.

This week our new sound is ou as in house, mouse, round, loud, cloud, found and  pound. We have been reading and writing ou words. We shared a story called Mouse House by John Burningham. To help us learn our sound we made a Mouse House to take home.

We worked with a partner to build doubles to 20. We recorded our sums on our whiteboards.

Last week we were building and reading words with the th sound. We shared the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, the and three both have the th sound in them. We made some finger puppets of the different characters and used them to retell the story. We drew the bears and wrote a description to match our pictures.
