A Long Journey back from Glenrothes

Unfortunately our S1 boys suffered a 3-2 defeat in the last 16 of the Scottish Plate. Both our goals were scored by Lewis Pollock. The boys can be extremely proud of their efforts, playing the vast majority of a 60 minute match inside their opponent’s half. Unfortunately, they didn’t take their chances and were caught on the break and conceded a fluke goal straight from a corner kick towards the end of the match.
We interviewed Calvin McCormack who was playing.  We asked him, “Was it a good game?” He replied, “Overall yes, but it was a shame we lost.  We had a few good chances to score but they were not taken well enough.” We also asked, “Did you enjoy it?” Calvin answered, “It was a good game but we’re sad to lose.” Finally, we asked, “Do you think you would win if you went up against them again.”   He answered ,  “It depends on our luck and if we took our chances better.”

The boys may feel disappointed at the moment but they have come away from their first match of the season.  Congratulations on reaching your first of many quarter finals.

Chryston High VS Our Ladies

I thought I played well but still  could have done a bit better.

My favourite player is James Denham who plays centre back for us. I thought James was the best defender and cleared the lines.

I’m pleased we won this match.  I think we can start to win more matches if we just talk more.

My favourite player in the world is Lionel Messi.

Chryston HS vs Our Lady’s HS (Motherwell)

Chryston S1 boys played Our Lady’s HS on the 9th November.  Chryston took the win beating Our Lady’s 10-2.  The overall performance was good with some good football played.  The MOTM was Calvin McCormack. This was well-deserved. Calvin scored 4 goals and had a good performance as striker.  Lewis Pollock also got a hat-trick and Ryan Mulholland got 3.

Chryston High vs Our Lady’s High

On the 6th of November Chryston S1 team travelled to Cumbernauld to play a very skilful Our Lady’s S1 team. The Cumbernauld boys were great communicators and have clearly played as a team before. Chryston suffered a heavy defeat but we didn’t take it too hard. We are still focused on the next game on Wednesday tonight.
