A week with Mrs O’Hanlon

We are having fun with Mrs O’Hanlon because our main teacher Miss Docherty has been away to Kilbowie for a week. So we have had our other teacher all week Mrs O’Hanlon. We have done lots of work and we have learned lots about the topic international childrens  games. We also have been doing a topic called Proud  to be me and it is about how people make babies and make love.Mrs Docherty is coming back today and we also miss her lots.

Dear Miss Docherty

We have been learning about our new topic called International Childrens Games (I.C.G).Also we have been learning about parallel lines and perpendicular lines in maths. On Tuesday Mrs O’Hanlon told us to write what we think we know about I.C.G. Then we all went down to the carpet to find out the real facts about I.C.G. When we went down to the carpet we learned  that a P.E teacher in Slovenia Metod Klemec was the very first person to think of  the I.C.G. He was the brains behind it. He organised the very first I.C.G. in 1968 made up of teams from 9 European cities. We also learned that this year there was a joint bid between North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire and some of us know where the venues are for the activites. We learned the parrell and perpendicular on Monday and Tuesday it’s very hard sometimes.

Proud to be me

Something that makes me proud to be me is my ICT skills.

One day our teacher Miss Docherty introduced a website called Voki. Voki is a website that lets you create a mini person or animation and loads more. Then all you do is put your text into the text box or you can phone the number and get it to say whatever you want. So our teacher found out how to put a Voki on to our blog so she put a Voki on the blog and she put a post on my E-PortFoliGlow and I learned it and put instructions on the blog myself.

I have tagged the class climb high.

This is a rap that Miss Docherty made in a Primary two class and remembered so Miss Docherty taught it to P5 at Chapelside.

It is called Da Rainforets Rap.
