Good Morning P4/5!
Another amazing week P4/5! I know I said it last week but I am so unbelievably proud of you all. This is really hard for everyone and you are all taking it in your stride and owning it! I can’t wait to all get back together and tell you how proud I am, in person.
As the weather seems to be getting a bit better (fingers crossed) and we have all been stuck inside I am asking you all to have a go at the DrEAM Steps Challenge. I will be trying to take part as well with Daisy and Allie. A text was sent out to parents, so you can sign up. It has also been shared on Twitter. Try to fit this in whenever you have finished your work or you need a wee break. Exercise is great for clearing the mind and you know we all love to win!

Burns Poems
Rather than give you all one poem to learn, I have uploaded 3 different poems and you can pick whichever one you would like to do. We will talk about them during your reading lesson this week and I would love if you could try to learn one. If you want to video yourself performing your poem or part of your poem then please upload it to teams or email it to me. You can also have a go at saying it on our reading calls this week or next week.

Mrs Rowan has uploaded your grid onto Teams. As well as your grid have a go at learning a Scots poem as well and I have allocated you all a new book on BugClub, All Hail King Julien: King Julien and the Rain Dance. We will catch up on Monday and go over everything.
Writing
This week we will continue with our slow writing and take each sentence one at a time. During our class lesson we will share some ideas and have a look at a range of settings. You will then pick one to write a paragraph about. Check out the PowerPoint to see the settings you can choose from and a reminder of each kind of sentence you should include.

Grammar
I would like you to have a look at the Burn’s poem you have chosen and have a think about what some of the Scots words/phrases mean. I have added a list of words from each poem but feel free to tell me more of the words in your poem. Choose whichever sheet relates to your poem and complete this in your jotter or on the sheet if you want to print it.
