As usual Mrs Rowan has uploaded your literacy work to Teams. If you need anything extra to do, feel free to try one of the reading comprehensions in your Reading Booklet. I have also set you a book to read on BugClub. This week it is: Tricking Our Eyes.
We will have a meeting on Monday at 12pm to have a catch up and see how you are all getting on. You also have a catch up with Mrs Rowan on Tuesday at 11am.

Writing

This week we will be using our characters that we created last week and writing a paragraph about them. You can put them in the setting that you have already created to make it feel more like the start of a story or you can just write a description of them. Try to include as much information as you can. Remember to use your notes from last week. Use the success criteria below to help you self assess your work.

Resources for grid

Mindfulness colouring – feel free to use these or colouring you have a home.
Mindfulness Doodling sheets – you can use these templates or draw out your own on paper.

Use these Daily Doodles sheets if you need some inspiration for artists.

Positivity Jar Instructions – feel free to use these instructions or make your own version.
Things that make me happy – here is one example or you could create your own version on paper.

Resilience alphabet

This week we will be introduced to the Resilience Alphabet. This is a toolkit of strategies that we can use to help build our inner strength and resilience. It will help us to take care of our own mental, physical and emotional health.  It will also help us to overcome obstacles that might get in our way.
This week we will go through what the alphabet is and why it is important on Monday. We will also go over our letter for this week.

Quiz

This week we will have a general knowledge quiz. Be ready to record your answers (pencil and paper or laptop/tablet).
Have a wonderful long weekend! I can’t wait to hear what you all got up to on Tuesday 16th February!
