Addition in Room 4

This week room 4 have been starting to learn all about addition.  We have been comparing two numbers to identify which number is bigger and which is smaller, learning all about how we add on 1 more, and combining two quantities to find out how much we have all together.  We know that our answer is always bigger than our first two numbers!

Here are some pictures of some of the activities we have been doing in class to practise our addition calculations.

We have football training again on Thursday for the next 4 weeks – could children please wear their PE kit to school on Thursday in addition to our PE days?

I am so excited about seeing everyone in their Halloween costumes on Tuesday. Could children please come to school dressed in their costumes, but with a change of clothes if needed, especially if wearing a thick costume as our classroom gets quite warm with the heating turned on.

Have a lovely weekend and I can’t wait to see you all on Monday.
