Homework will be issued to primary 1 and 2 on a weekly basis and will reinforce learning in class. It will be sent home on a paper handout on a Thursday and submitted by the following Wednesday. This gives families the chance to complete activities at their own pace and gives a weekend also; as family life can be very busy during the week.   The handout will give space for comments from both children and parents if required and will also give the teachers a space to share any information if required. Tasks will consist of literacy, numeracy, health and wellbeing and occasionally one other area of the curriculum. Children will have the opportunity to bring home reading materials to share their learning with you. This will be both banded reading materials at their level as well as reading for pleasure books chosen by them from the class and school libraries. There will be a homework jotter provided for written tasks to be completed if required.
